WBCSD board elections critical for district
Nov. 7 is getting closer. It's an immensely important day for the West Bonner County School District. By now, most of you know who you're voting for. The most important thing is to get out and vote. Since this is an off-year election, many of you will think it's not that important this year. You couldn't be more wrong. It's absolutely critical for the school district. If we don't vote for good, caring, and qualified candidates, we will be going backward again. We must do so in massive numbers. It's the only way to achieve victory.
Although I am in Zone 4 and cannot vote for zones 1, 3, and 5, I support Margaret Hall in Zone 1. She held the board together, along with Zone 5 candidate Carlyn Barton. They supported our district and all the students, instructors, and all the other necessary employees. If it were not for them and their honesty and integrity, we would be in a worse mess. If you notice in their campaign, they take the high road to inform the patrons what their plan is to bring our district together with community support where everyone is working together for a common goal: a successful public education district.
In Zone 3, we have Elizabeth Glazier challenging incumbent Troy Reinbold. In my mind, it is again no contest. Elizabeth is so well-qualified for this position. Again, integrity, honesty, and knowledge of so many aspects of what is necessary to combine with fellow trustees to run a successful school district.
All three candidates will do their absolute best to accomplish the goal that the entire community wants. Work together, listen to constituents, and work for the best interests of all students. Their campaigns are truthful and honest. They tell you facts that can all be verified. And they will attend meetings.
