PRIEST RIVER — The Priest River girls soccer team was defeated by Stillwater Christian, 6-2 at home on Thursday night.

The Spartans started out slow, but closed the game out strong. The girls racked up 24 shots, but only two found the back of the net. Both those goals would be scored by Lizzie McCracken, who also had a team-high 10 shots.

Pavin Coleman, Marley Burgess-Duquette, Katrina Davis and Cheyenne Thompson were all very active on Thursday night; they accounted for the remainder of Priest River’s shots. Goalkeeper Brooklyn Best had seven saves for the Spartans.

“Stillwater has a fast team, which was more challenging for our defense,” head coach Christina Leonard said. “They have a great team and we enjoy playing them.”
