The voters have spoken in West Bonner

Kudos to the voters in Zones 2 and 4 for demonstrating the power of the vote in the recently held West Bonner County School District recall election. The voters saw a problem, mobilized, organized, and voted their consciences.

I am a lifelong Republican and am absolutely appalled at the intellectual vulgarity of the Branden Durst entourage and their apparent disregard of the restraining order as reported in the paper. (Daily Bee, Sept. 6, 2023)

The party of Abraham Lincoln is a party of the individual exercising their right to vote — irrespective of their leaders' dictates.

When the new school board convenes after the canvass is completed, the honorable action for Mr. Durst is to resign and resubmit his superintendent's application. The people have spoken, and it is past time for him to understand that he works for the people of Priest River; they do not work for him.
