A celebration of neighbors

| September 19, 2023 1:00 AM

It was a day of neighborliness and fun as the city of Ponderay held its annual Neighbor Day event Sept. 9.

Attendees had the option to participate in activities like “Little City Hall,” which will focus on the Field of Dreams project, a recreational facility that has been 30 years in the making. North Idaho Ice will have an interactive hockey activity and information on the group’s efforts to bring an ice facility to Ponderay's Field of Dreams.

Pony rides, face painting, a petting zoo, live music by Justin James Live, games, raffles, and crafts are just a few of the other activities that will be available.

Ponderay Neighbor Day was launched by the city in 2017. The goal of the event is to provide a fun gathering that celebrated neighbors and offered opportunities to gain feedback on how those connections could be enhanced through the development of the trail system and Harbison Field.
