Create hosting Saturday concert

PRIEST RIVER — Music will be filling the Create arts center stage as Laddie Ray Melvin and the Blue Ribbon Tea Company are set to perform Saturday.

The concert is set to begin at 7 p.m. at Create, 900 W. Fourth, Newport — one block from the middle school.

The groups are seasoned regional performers who present original, folk, blues, and country music. They are three of the region's notable songwriters.

Laddie Ray presents music from the American folk, blues, and country-style who sings of life, family, hope, and shared humanity. The Blue Ribbon Tea Company, Kathy and Bill Kostelec, play multiple instruments and progressive folk from American roots tradition.

All of these talented musicians have played at the Inland Folk Festival and numerous venues.

Tickets are $12 in advance, or $15 on the day of the concert for adults; or $5 for students.
