Trustee's absence shows disdain for voters
There is too much to write, so form will be sacrificed. The events of this past week prompted this unplanned letter.
A trustee was a no-show. He didn't even let his fellow trustees know. He told the acting superintendent that he wasn't coming. Not his boss — the patrons are his boss.
Another planned ploy to upset the apple cart and further their agenda. He pledged to uphold values that he is now severely neglecting. Do not vote for him in November. Vote for Mrs. Glazier, who has a stake in this district — her children.
In Zone 5, vote for Carlyn Barton. Her opposition is not worthy of the position. In Zone 1, vote for Margy Hall, who has proved her value to our district over and over.
I want to thank the little fourth-grade football player who followed me to my rig, thanked me for coming to his game, and offered to shake my hand, which I proudly did. I want to thank his parents for teaching him values, ethics, and integrity.
I want to thank all the parents who let their children take part in extracurricular activities. I would like to thank Cassie, who sits with me at gatherings and explains what my old ears cannot pick up. I want to thank her and her family for becoming my friends.
I apologize for this hodgepodge letter. It is fast, but necessary. I have a few more words. Many people gave up their time and spent gas money that was wasted because of an unworthy trustee who didn't show up.
