Richard Sutkowy, 79

Richard Larry “Dick” Sutkowy, 79, passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Private family services have been held.

Dick was born Nov. 9, 1943, in Duluth, Minn. He grew up in Long Beach, Calif., and graduated from Millikan High in 1962.

Dick moved to Sandpoint in 1968. He was a long-time resident of Westmond, Sagle, Sandpoint and Colburn. He was locally employed for years at Merwin’s Hardware, and the Co-op in Ponderay.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Norma Trone; his father, Jack Trone; and his brother, Jack Trone II. He is survived by his sisters, Gail, DeeDee, and Donna Luskin; a nephew, Jack Trone; a niece, Cheyenna Trone; and other extended family members with whom he had lost contact.
