PONDERAY — SpringHill Suites by Marriott Sandpoint is open and ready to give a warm welcome to all customers.
The hotel, which opened its doors Feb. 15, is the first Marriott product in North Idaho. Located at 477490 U.S. 95, the hotel was welcomed with a ribbon-cutting ceremony March 27 by the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce.
The custom-built SpringHill Suites has 97 spacious studios equipped with high-speed Internet, microwave, mini-fridge, large work desk, and West Elm furnishings, Marriott officials said in a press release. The hotel features a complimentary hot breakfast, a lobby bar featuring local beer, wine and heavy appetizers, and views of Schweitzer Mountain that can be enjoyed from the comfort of an outdoor patio complete with a fire pit.
The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Sandpoint offers accommodations designed for business and leisure travelers alike with a state-of-the-art, well-equipped fitness center, saline pool, and onsite market, Megan Farnam, director of revenue and distribution, said.
The hotel features a 14-person boardroom, ideal for business meetings. Additional amenities like onsite laundry, pet-friendly accommodations, and staff of local Sandpoint experts to ensure guests feel at home.
The Sandpoint area is in the perfect location for outdoor enthusiasts with skiing at Schweitzer Mountain, kayaking and fishing at Lake Pend Oreille and ample hiking and trails nearby. Historic downtown Sandpoint features shopping, festivals and delicious food and drinks, officials said.
