PREP BOYS LACROSSE: McGrann, Doko impressive in loss to Lake City
COEUR d’ALENE — Sandpoint’s Logan McGrann had two goals and a career-high four assists, goalie Ryan Doko a career-high 26 saves, as the visiting Bulldogs fell to the Timberwolves 12-7 on Thursday.
"Ryan played a great game," head coach Ty Wilson said. "Lake City has some really good shooters and he managed to hold a lot of goal opportunities. As for Logan, he has been consistently getting better and better every game and it truly shows. He has been really fun to watch play these last few games."
Down 12-1 heading into the final quarter, the Bulldogs rallied for six goals in a row before the final buzzer sounded.
In addition to McGrann’s offensive performance, Kostas Bauck had two goals, Lucas Garrison and Blayne Kanning one each for Sandpoint. Wylie Wimmer led the team in groundballs with five, Kanning added four.
Sandpoint (1-5) will host Mead on Tuesday.
