Cancer is a terrible disease for many reasons
On Monday, March 27, my dear friend Russ Brisboy lost his battle with cancer. Some day someone is going to find a cure for this terrible disease. I realize that Big Pharma and many doctors and hospitals who specialize in cancer and treating cancer patients do not want this to happen financially.
I am old enough to remember when Dr. Johas Salk found a cure for polio, which was a terrible disease leaving people crippled and some having to live their lives in an iron lung machine.
In the fourth grade I had a friend who lost the use of his legs because of polio. Now thanks to Dr. Salk Polio is something we rarely hear about.
What a wonderful thing it would be if someone could actually find a cure for cancer in my lifetime.
God bless you, Russ; I miss you very much.
