FBCS hosting fundraiser today

A delicious breakfast and helping a good cause are both on the menu at today's Forrest Bird Charter School's pancake fundraiser.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gardenia Center, 400 Church St. A silent auction and treat sale will also offer opportunities to contribute. 

Proceeds will benefit an end-of-year field trip to Yellowstone National Park for FBCS eighth-grade students. 

FBCS is a free, public charter school that provides students with a project-based education with a mastery focus to meet their educational goals, FBCS officials said.  

General tickets are $10 per person while family tickets for four people are $20.
