April 21, 1974 – NEWS FROM SAGLE

The Hawkins family gathered on Easter at the Sagle Community Hall. All had an enjoyable time.

Carla Sheffler and infant daughter are spending a week in Montana with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stilwell, former Sandpoint residents.

EILEEN HUNT TO WED WOELK

Mr. and Mrs. Verland Hunt announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Eileen Joyce, to Karl Woelk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Woelk, Selah, Wash. The couple has set a July 7 wedding date at Sandpoint’s United Methodist Church. They will reside in Selah, Wash.

PROUDLY WE SALUTE…

Army Specialist 4 Richard L. Jasman, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jasman, Sagle, participated with some 14,000 soldiers in exercise Laramie Golden Arrow II in Germany, a five-day exercise conducted by the 8th Inf. Division. Spec. Jasman is a clerk in the Headquarters and Support Co. of the 8th Inf. Div. 8th Med. Bttn. at Mannheim, Germany. 

Kathleen M. Gagin, 18, is in basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C., after enlisting in the Army for three years. Upon completion of basic, she will enter law enforcement school at Ft. Gordon, Ga.  Miss Gagin, a 1974 SHS graduate, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Gagin, Sandpoint, was a photographer’s assistant at the News-Bulletin before her enlistment.

Arden Gorsline came from Moscow to spend Easter with his mother, Mrs. Claire Gorsline.

Kenneth Tetschner returned Friday from Boise where he received treatments for the past two weeks at the veterans hospital.

U OF I STUDENTS HOME FOR EASTER

Sandpoint young people at the U of I who were home for Easter were Patsy Patton, Joyann Rossman, Colleen Ebbe and guest, Roger Hartman, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Gooby, Jm Parsons, Osmer Rue, Bill Nelson, Dewey Selle and Kenneth Miller. Also here were John Becker, Clyde Sletager and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Sargent, a college professor, and their son, guests of his mother, Clara Evans.

HERE FOR EASTER

Enjoying Easter with Mrs. Anna Sund were her daughter, Mrs. Rugna Reynolds, Spokane, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Venishnick, small son and daughter of Moscow.

NEWS FROM COLBURN

Joe Brockway came from Moscow, where he attends college, to spend Easter vacation at home.

Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Green, Mrs. A.W. Timlick and Mr. and Mrs. W.H. White attended the strawberry meeting in Sandpoint last week.

Mrs. Clara Patterson, county nurse, gave smallpox vaccinations to the school pupils here last Friday.
