Michael Jay Williams, 71

Michael Jay Williams, 71, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. 

He was born Dec. 23, 1952, to Ralph and Florence Williams in Fairbanks, Yukon Territories. Michael graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1971. He married Marceen Hawkins on Sept. 8, 1973, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Michael worked as a fuel delivery driver and manager at the Northwest Co Gas & Go in Sandpoint. He worked long hours in order to provide for his family. He was a loving, supportive husband, father, and grandfather. He spent his free time with his family making lifelong memories and indulging in his love of hunting and the outdoors.

Upon Michael's retirement, he and Marceen spent their days together fishing, snowmobiling, and traveling around the Pacific Northwest.

Survivors include his wife, Marceen; his two children, Shawn Williams of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Brandi Cessna of Hayden, Idaho;  four grandchildren, Jaizee, Logan, Brooke and Nicholas; and two sisters, Sheri Remmers and Karen Williams.

No memorial service or gathering will be held in accordance with Michael's wishes.
