SANDPOINT — Sandpoint Soccer Association is pleased to announce that the spring season is off to a good start, with plenty more in store, officials said in a press release.

Sandpoint Rec League

The Rec League, which has players ranging from four to 18 years old, has over 630 players participating this year. The SSA works hard to teach the game of soccer as well as life concepts such as communication, leadership, sportsmanship, perseverance, etc.

Sandpoint Strikers

The competitive side of the SSA, the Sandpoint Strikers, are going into their third weekend of league games. While player development is SSA’s primary focus, the league’s teams have started off with strong results this spring. Of the 17 teams competing, and after 41 games played thus far, the club’s overall record is 33-5-3. 10 of the 17 teams are currently undefeated. Those teams are: 2016B, 2015B, 2014B, 2013B, 2012B, 2010/2009B, 2015G, 2013G Red, 2013G Black, and 2012G.
