Spc. Kenneth L. Pellens, 43
Spc. Kenneth Leon Pellens (retired), a decorated soldier in the United States Army National Guard in the state of Idaho went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 5, 2024, at the age of 43 in Westport, Wash.
Kenneth was born June 6, 1981, in Sandpoint, Idaho, and joined the military right after Sept. 11, 2001. He went to boot camp at Fort Sill in Lawton, Okla. When he was deployed, he was sent to Kirkuk and spent an entire tour of duty in Iraq before coming home to Idaho.
Kenneth loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, he loved his family (all of them), he loved the United States of America, Trump, gospel music, and conspiracy theories.
He loved bicycling, hiking/exploring, lifting weights, and camping among countless other things. He was a fantastic cook and No. 1 barbecuer who loved to entertain, hang out with friends and family and had a great sense of humor. He loved the water from Lake Pend Oreille to the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, which is where he spent the last years of his life.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Betty Pellens; and two uncles; grandparents, Buford Cates and Molly Maxey (Cates); his grandma, Lawana LeCroy; uncle Andy Allard; and several great-grandparents. He is survived by his children, Makayla Pellens, Cole, Samuel, Savannah, and two bonus kids, Ashley and Dillon; his mother, Molly K. Foreman (Alan); his father, Bert Pellens (René); his stepfather, John LeCroy; his siblings, Natali Roberge (Josh), Jon Lecroy (Sara), Dae Relle Piatt (William) and many step-siblings, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and a brand-new grandson, Jacob.
We are celebrating his life at Heritage Baptist Church, 3578 N. Charleville, Post Falls, Idaho, on Saturday, Aug. 31, at 1 p.m. Please come as all are welcome.
