City to show ‘The Sandlot’ Friday

SANDPOINT — Next Friday, Aug. 30, Sandpoint Parks and Recreation will host Movie Night in the Park — a free 7:30 p.m. event at Pine Street Park.

The city will screen “The Sandlot,” a family-friendly 1993 comedy that follows a cohort of young baseball players during the summer of 1962. 

Participants are encouraged to bring food, drinks, and a blanket to the showing. Alcohol is not permitted in city parks.
