LARRY’S TEXACO COLLECTING TOYS
Santa Claus has an auxiliary work shop in Sandpoint. Realizing the jolly old man’s rush at this season, two Sandpoint young men set up a repair shop for toys of all kinds to be distributed to children in needy homes. Larry Saldecke, who operates Larry’s Texaco Service at Fifth and Church, and Bob Sleep will repair all toys turned in at the station or the American Red Cross office in city hall. Mrs. Werner, Red Cross director, will dress all dolls and Larry and Bob will see to it that all mechanical toys are in running order, wheels replaced and little wagons painted red. They are soliciting help in collecting broken toys from all girls and boys and hope to be very busy from now until Christmas eve.
