SANDPOINT — A free showing of the holiday movie "Home Alone" will take place at the James E. Russell Sports Center at 7 p.m. this Friday.
Community members are invited to gather on the facility’s courts to watch the comedy on the city’s 52-foot projector screen.
“We're calling it a ‘leave your shoes at the door’ event,” said Community Planning and Development Director Jason Welker during a Dec. 4 City Council meeting. “We want people to bring picnic blankets and pillows and come and make themselves comfortable.”
Before the screening, the city is hosting a crafts and hot cocoa session in the Russell Center’s community room.
The Russell Center will open for public tennis and pickleball play at 7 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16.
