GIRLS BASKETBALL

Clark Fork 55, Mullan 28

CLARK FORK — Junior Piper Scarlett had a season-high 17 points, three 3-pointers, and seven steals as the host Lady Cats outscored the visiting Lady Tigers 36-14 in the second half to clinch a 55-28 non-league win Friday.

Senior Hannah Thompson added 17 points, also a season high, five rebounds and five steals while freshman Gracie Stevens recorded five points for the Lady Cats, which led just 19-14 at halftime.

"It took us awhile to get in a rhythm again tonight," Clark Fork High assistant coach Jordan Adams said. "Jamie Herrick really stepped up on defense and slowed them (Mullan) down while we were figuring things out on the offensive end."

"In the second half, Piper (Scarlett) found a hot streak and led us the rest of the way," Adams added. "It's great to string a couple wins together."

Senior Aliyah Leadbetter, freshman Keria Gannon, and sophomore Nora-Jean Hoy all added 3-pointers for Clark Fork (2-5), which has won two straight and hosts Genesis Prep Tuesday for a 2A Scenic Idaho Conference matchup.
