Gravity, not climate change, is proven fact
DeBaun says that science doesn’t prove anything, yet he writes as though science proves we are in a climate crisis.
DeBaun wants to know what “scientific credentials” qualify me to critique pseudo-scientific quacks, but where in any of his many letters has he ever given us his own credentials?
On the matter of gravity, does he really truly believe that if he drops a rock off a cliff it might possibly go up instead of down? Gravity is a non-negotiable scientific law, not a theory.
In his latest letter (Daily Bee, Dec. 5) Jack intimates that he truly does exist as long as he is alive. So is he admitting that his current existence is a proven scientific fact?
Instead of Jack saying “Science doesn’t prove anything,” he would be better off saying that “Science really does prove things, as long as certain conditions are met.” While that is a provisional statement, it is the only provision in this scientific equation.
Examples: 1) The law of gravity holds true and can be proven as long as Earth’s mass continues to draw things to its center. 2) Jack’s existence is proven as long as he is alive. 3) Water will always boil at the same temperature as long as certain conditions are consistent.
By the way, Isaac Newton was right. The law of gravity gets proven every morning as I try to get out of bed. And that is not provisional.
Now, where’s my coffee?
