Rachel Anne Pickard, 57

Rachel Anne Pickard, 57, passed away peacefully Oct. 15, 2024, at 2:30 a.m. at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo. 

Rachel was born Sept. 26, 1967, in Des Plaines, Ill. She attended Priest River Elementary and graduated from North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and then received a BA in international affairs and business economics from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash. She eventually earned her MBA – Finance Concentration, in August 2007, from Bellevue University in Nebraska, and RMA certification in financial statement and cash flow analysis. Rachel then pursued a career in finance until she retired in 2024.

Rachel was a loving wife and mother and had a natural flair for decorating. She also adored her canine babies, Finn and Olivia. She fully decorated her home and lived her life with equal measures of good taste and decorum and always displayed a strong work ethic. We will miss her endlessly and will always hold her in our hearts. 

Rachel is survived by her husband of 21 years, Dennis Pickard; and her children, Joseph Duncan and Alayna Pickard. She is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Laura and Michael Collins; her father, James Osika; her brothers, Matthew and Jason Osika; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces and their spouses and children. 

A private memorial will be held for Rachel at a future date.
