Schmit runs fastest indoor 60-meter time in Inland NW

Full caption: Sandpoint High junior Isaac Schmit recently placed 13th out of 104 runners in the high school division of the 60-meter dash at the Spokane Speed Games held this past Sunday at The Podium. Competing for the Spokane Speed Academy, Schmit posted a time of 7.12 seconds in the event, a new personal record by over one-tenth of a second. That time also happens to be not just the top time for the Academy, but the top time in the entire Inland Northwest currently. Schmit didn't just stop there, he also placed 25th out of 83 runners in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.51 seconds and helped his 4x400 relay team finish third out of nine teams with a time of 3:46.60.
