Elizabeth Williams, 86
Elizabeth Anne Williams, 86, of Sandpoint, Idaho, passed away peacefully at her home on Dec. 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving husband, Mike, and her daughters, Connie and Teri Lynn.
Born on Nov. 21, 1938, in Lone Pine, Calif., Beth Anne grew up before moving to North Idaho to make a new home. She was an active member of the Sandpoint Rotary for several years, known for her vibrant spirit and community involvement.
Together with her husband, Mike, she owned ceramics shop and Antique arcade on Main Street in Sandpoint, both of which became beloved local treasures. A talented painter, she won ribbons and local competitions for her artwork, and she brought her creativity to every aspect of her life. Beth Anne was quick-witted, an avid reader with an impressive private book collection, and a passionate gardener. Her flower beds and lawn ornaments told countless funny and quirky stories, reflecting her unique sense of humor and resourcefulness — such as using an empty WD-40 can to keep raccoons from nesting under the porch.
Beth Anne instilled in her children a strong sense of independence, hard work, ethics and resourcefulness. She had a hear for Jesus and a deep compassion for the lost and impoverished in her community. Her dedication to helping others was evident in her volunteer work with Helping Hands Healing Hearts, an organization close to her heart.
Beth Anne’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 40 years, Mike Williams; her children, Connie Peterson Munzer (Thom), Teri Lynn Thom, and Jacob Thom Jr. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Thom. Beth Anne was a proud grandmother to Saidie Luding, Jacob Lawrence Thom, Brandy Rogers, Amber Adams, and Daniel Peterson, and a great-grandmother to Kyle Adams, Randal Williams and his wife, Darra.
Beth Anne’s warmth, humor, laughter and creativity touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and the Sandpoint community.
The memorial Service will be held at 221 S. Division, The Sandpoint Church of God on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, at 11 a.m.
Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
