Diane Suto, 83

| December 28, 2024 1:00 AM

Diane Joan Olmsted Suto went to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 13, 2024. She continued to enjoy her life for another year at Alpine Vista, Life Care and the Bridge after learning she had pancreatic cancer.

Diane was born in Mason City, Wash., on May 18, 1941. She was adopted by Keith and Mino Olmsted in Spokane, Wash., and had good memories of her growing years in Sprague and Kelso, Wash.

She met her future husband, Laszlo, in 1958 while attending Kelso High School. After a two-year courtship, they were married in 1961. They were married for 58 years. Diane always said some of her favorite years were living in Germany when they were first married.  She later found out through Ancestry.com that she was half-German.

She and Laszlo moved their family from the Seattle area in 1975 to build a home on Diane's family farm in Valleyford, Wash.

Diane has three children, Laszlo, Zsuzsanna, and Robert; nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. After Laszlo died, she moved to the Sandpoint, Idaho, area to be near her family.

She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

Diane's celebration of life will be held next spring with her family.
