Hannah Davidson, Utah State Track & Field

Sandpoint’s Hannah Davidson continues to impress. On Saturday, Jan. 27, the Utah State senior ran a new personal best mile time of 4:49.77 at the inaugural “Mile City” event at the University of Washington; an event where 199 of some of the best mid-distance runners throughout the West Coast competed. Davidson finished 33rd amongst the stacked field, and smashed her old previous best by over 6 seconds. Her time of 4:49.77 is good enough for the ninth-best time in USU history.

Did you know that’s not the only record she has at Utah State so far? Davidson has the fifth-best indoor 800 meter run (2:11.03), was part of the second-best distance medley relay (11:33.21) — and the fifth, sixth, and ninth fastest distance medley relays. To this day, she still holds the Sandpoint school records in the 800 meter (2:18.10), 1600 meter (5:10.74), and mile (5:12.23), and is a part of 4x800 meter relay, and distance medley relay school records.

Davidson’s best outdoor 800 meter run is now 2:10.77, approximately .4 seconds away from cracking the Utah State top 10 list. Surely, she will be aiming to crack that list and much more in the coming months.

Utah State is back in action Saturday, Feb. 3, when the Aggies host the Aggie Speed and Power Meet at George Nelson Field House.

Camille Ussher, Spokane CC Track & Field

Bonners Ferry’s Camille Usher ran the second-best 600 meter time (1:40.09) in Spokane Community College history at the Lauren McCluskey Invitational held Jan. 19-20 at the University of Idaho. Ussher won the event, defeating three runners from Pepperdine and two from Eastern Oregon.

Spokane CC will compete at the Riverfront Invite held Feb. 1-3 at The Podium in Spokane.

Sara Hathaway, Lewis-Clark State College Track & Field

Clark Fork’s Sara Hathaway was part of the 4x400 meter relay that placed first out of six teams at the Inland Northwest Invitational held Jan. 27 at The Podium in Spokane. The Warriors’ time of 3:59.05 qualified them for NAIA Indoor Nationals to be held Feb. 29 - Mar. 1 at South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D.

Lewis-Clark State College returns to action Feb. 9-10 for the Whitworth Invitational at The Podium in Spokane.
