Quinn hired to lead chamber
SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce has a new director.
Chamber officials announced Tuesday that Mickie Quinn had been hired to replace former director Kate McAlister.
“Mickey comes to the chamber with years of experience in management, business operations, budgeting, retail growth, leadership development, and business coaching,” chamber board member Alison Dunbar said.
Quinn has a strong history of successfully starting and managing companies that specialize in developing strategic business plans, operational processes, and interpersonal relationship building.
“Her experience in retail is sure to lend value to local businesses, while creating new and exciting ways to help chamber member businesses thrive,” Dunbar said in a press release announcing Quinn’s hiring.
That background, along with Mickey’s business and personal skills, will benefit the chamber and the community, Greater Sandpoint Chamber board members said.
“The chamber is excited for the next chapter with Mickey as the executive director,” board members said in the press release.
The board said they are excited for the community to meet Quinn in her new role and encouraged them to visit with her, share their thoughts and visions of the community, and work with her to continue building the community into a wonderful place to visit and live.
Quinn replaces Kate McAlister, who served as president and CEO of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce for more than a decade. She is active in numerous local organizations, including Angels Over Sandpoint, Forrest M. Bird Charter School, and Kaniksu Community Health.
Also active in the community, Quinn is the CEO and founder of Retail Level Up and operates her own consulting firm, Mickey Quinn Consulting.
