Consequences of book banning bill fall on Crane, backers

This letter is regarding Idaho State Sen. Crane's insistence on reintroducing the “library book banning bill.”

Personally, I believe it is the parents' responsibility to monitor what their children read. To put this responsibility on the librarians is unreasonable and unfair.

Surely, Sen. Crane, you and your backers can find a more worthy cause than targeting both public and school libraries. What happens next from you and your supporters? Harassment of library personnel? Forcing them to leave? Or perhaps even the burning of books, those of which you deem unacceptable?
