FBCS celebrates school seniors
Forrest Bird Charter School is celebrating its senior, spotlighting their many accomplishments and achievements.
Honored this week is Trinity Deal, who graduated in December.
How long have you attended Forrest Bird Charter School?
I transferred halfway through eighth grade.
What teacher has made the most impact on you?
That’s hard. Ms. Becky. She brought me out of my shell. Mrs. Holland at the high school. She has a heart of gold, always helps and makes school fun.
What was your favorite project at FBCS?
Definitely my Bismark project. When I was in freshman English we worked on a multi-genre project. I then turned it into my third trimester project where I did a power point presentation. I had a trifold as well as 3D models of airplanes from the Bismark and created a board game where a battle was fought at the end between the Bismark and the H.S. Hood.
What was most surprising about school?
That school can actually be fun! At first I thought I couldn’t wait to get out of school, but now I don’t want to leave. It was a lot more fun here than I thought it could be.
What are your future plans?
I’m hoping to go to college. I have a scholarship from the LAUNCH program. I am graduating six months early and am trying to figure out my career path.
What is your advice to other students?
Don’t be the one hiding in the corner. Get to know your teachers. They are there to help.
