Annual K9 Keg Pull set to race into town

SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint Winter Carnival is wrapping up this year with one of the most anticipated events — the K9 Keg Pull.
On Sunday, Feb. 25, area pups and their people are invited to join Better Together Animal Alliance for the final event of the community’s annual Winter Carnival. The event showcases dogs and their owners racing down a snowy course on Cedar Street in front of Eichardt’s Pub. Dogs pull kegs appropriate to their size as they race the clock for the best time and prizes.
Registration is $10 for two runs per dog and all proceeds benefit the animals at Better Together Animal Alliance. Registration starts at 10:15 a.m. with races beginning at 11 a.m. Enter your pup or come watch the fun.
As of right now, the event is still on but may be changed if there continues to be little snow by next weekend, BTAA officials said.
