Gaffney named MVP of Brown Bear Winter Classic
Sandpoint freshman Ryan Gaffney was named MVP of the Brown Bear Winter Classic indoor lacrosse tournament held this past weekend at The Sports Barn in Missoula. Sandpoint finished third behind 406 Lacrosse and Brown Bear Lacrosse, both Montana-based programs. “We asked Ryan to step in as a goalie this year, which is a big ask for any player who’s never played the position,” Sandpoint head coach Chad Cole said. “He answered the call and played four straight hours and was the talk of the tournament.”
