Gary Lee Spade, 80

Gary Lee Spade passed away Dec. 19, 2023, and has gone to his "happy hunting grounds astride his favorite mule." His best friend and love of 23 years, his wife Kym was by his side as was his No. 1 daughter, Tammie. He passed away content, at peace, and happy to be at the home he loved.

He was our cowboy, with a spirit wild and free, and great big heart of gold, filled with a gentle kindness, generosity, and much love.

Not only for his people, he loved us so … for his mules and horses, bison and cattle, dogs and his cat, "Spook." 

He left behind his wife, Kym; his children, Tammie Spade, Tony Spade (Kris), and Tina Carter (Don); his grandchildren, Taylor Hill, Amber Spade, Cody Spade, Chad Spade, Clancy Spade, Arin Larson, Samantha Gullickson and Jacque Bloom; nine great-grandchildren; his absolute best buddy and No. 1 business partner, Al Miles; his brothers, Ray Spade (MaryJane), Tom Spade (Barbara) and Dick Spade (Lillian); and his sisters, Patty Harkey (Clint), Karen Spade and Donna Parnell.

We will be having a celebration of life party — just as Gary wanted — Feb. 25, 2024, at the 219 from noon to 4 p.m. It is to be a potluck, bring your best. All who knew and loved Gary please attend.

All donations will be going to his favorite charity, Shriner's Children's Hospital.
