WBL hosting gardening workshop
PRIEST RIVER — Whether you're new to gardening, or you're an old hand, this workshop is for you.
Gardeners of all skill levels are bound to learn more than a few things as Jennifer Jensen talks about Bonner County gardening at a Saturday presentation at the Blanchard Library, 412 Railroad Ave.
Jensen will discuss microclimates, the area's new 6B zone designation, and how residents can prepare gardens for the hottest, coldest, wettest, and driest years.
"Learn how to make your garden as resilient as possible, no matter what weather comes our way," Megan Mize, West Bonner Library District director, said.
Registration is not required to attend the event.
It's just one of several events taking place at the library district, Mike said.
The library is also preparing for its 22nd annual Friends of the Library Auction, scheduled for March 3. The event will be held from 4 to 7. p.m. at the Priest River Event Center, 5399 U.S. 2.
Donations for the auction are now being accepted. They can be dropped off at the Priest River Library, 118 Main St., until Friday, March 1.
