Chamber honors February's top volunteer
SANDPOINT — During the February General Membership Luncheon of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, Amelia Boyd was honored as the February Volunteer of the Month.
Since moving to Sandpoint in 2016, Boyd has been a weekly volunteer for The Cottage with Panhandle Special Needs, a volunteer commissioner on the city of Sandpoint’s Parks & Recreation Commission, and a weekly volunteer at Bonner General Health and Kootenai Cancer Center. Boyd has been the race director for the BGH Foundation Find Your Strength Family Fun Run since its inception in 2022 and serves as a foundation trustee. Boyd also serves as a commissioner with the city of Sandpoint Planning & Zoning Commission.
In addition to these volunteer activities, Amelia has donated her time for City Beach clean-up days, Healing Garden clean-up, has baked goodies for the BGH Women’s Auxiliary Group, and volunteers at the Sandpoint Chamber Beerfest event every summer.
