Where are the illegal immigrants coming from?

I have a question, or two. As I watch all the illegal migrant caravans coming up through Mexico, a few of the reporters are saying they aren't all from Central and South America. Many are from Cuba, Haiti, the Middle East and China.

And I wonder, how were those trips financed? Why do most of these people look like they're out for a weekend hike. Their clothes appear clean, newish, nice backpacks, cellphones and the like. Who is feeding them on this trek of many hundreds of miles? Where are they spending nights? How are they caring for their kids? Who is feeding these people?

If I wasn't being told differently, I'd say they appear to be people out raising money for some charity; the more miles they walk the more money they raise for their worthy cause. 

You know, methinks there's something rotten in going on.
