Seek first the wisdom of God

As we enter into a new year, so often we find it as a good time to reflect.

To look upon the identity that we walked in our previous year, and determine the life we want to live, the goals we want to achieve coming into the next. I see no problem with this, but let us go a step further and seek first the wisdom of the Lord.

It is not a question of who I desire to be, but rather who He desires me to be. So often we walk out our own plans first, before counseling the Lord, with wonderful intentions, but His plan is so much better for His word says, "My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.“ (Isaiah 55:8-9 NLT)

If we turn to Him, as our first thought, and not as an afterthought to bless our plans, perhaps we would see the struggles subside, and perhaps we would see the storm calm.

I’d like to speak life into each heart that is reading this and declare that His plans for you are so much greater than you know, he created you with a purpose in mind, and He wrote you into this story intentionally.

Never allow the disappointments of the previous year to lead you into your goals for this year, but rather allow for His truth over your life to speak abundance into this upcoming year.

For the word of God says this, ”But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." (Matthew 6:33 ESV)

It is amazing the difference that surrender can make in a life where we have struggled to control our outcomes, we begin to ride the current of the River rather than trying to carve our own path for our own river.

So be blessed walking out life into 2024, humble yourself to be led by the Holy Spirit, and watch what God will do, if He could make man from breathing into the dust, how much more can He do when you partner with Him in His plans for the year to come.

Be blessed and walk in the fullness of the destiny He has placed upon you.
