| January 9, 2024 1:00 AM

On Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, Dean Leonard Miller, “Snuffy,” peacefully passed away in his home in Ponderay, Idaho, surrounded by his family. He was 77 years old, born July 11, 1946, in Idaho.

Dean is preceded in death by his parents George and Ethel Miller. He is survived by his two daughters, Robin and Kathy; his two sons, Travis and Todd; and his sister, Della. He has six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Dean was in the Navy during Vietnam, and was so proud of his grand-daughter Sydnie who is currently enlisted in the Navy.

Dean is known for his generosity in the community, working for the Bonner Community Food Bank for 13 years after retiring from Idaho Forest Group after 40-plus years of dedication. Keeping track of his sons, “the Miller boys,” was his other full-time job.

He had a love for hot rods, boating, and providing for his family. He was an amazing father and friend to everyone and will be missed dearly by the community, his family, and his many friends.

Please join us this Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Sandpoint Elk’s Golf Course at 2 p.m. to share in a celebration of his life.
