KNPS meeting focuses on arboretum
The North Idaho Native Plant Arboretum is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
Located in Lakeview Park, the arboretum was established in 1998, with "hands-in-the-dirt" work starting in spring the following year. KNPS officials said the group is exploring future plans for the arboretum’s next 25 years.
Following a brainstorming session, KNPS members created, and completed a membership survey. Now, organization officials said, it is time to dig in and start exploring.
KNPS’s first monthly meeting, set for Saturday, Jan. 20, will delve into the survey results and set priorities for the arboretum's future.
The meeting is set for 10 a.m. at Sandpoint Community Hall, 204 S. First Ave., coffee, tea and treats available. The meeting is open to the public and suggestions for the arboretum are welcome.
