Schweitzer cancels weekend events due to weather

SANDPOINT — Due to weather conditions, Schweitzer has announced that it will be canceling the Torchlight Parade, fireworks show and Twilight Skiing event this weekend.

Staff hopes to reschedule these events later in the season, but there is no set date on when they will be planned for.

Regular lift operations will also be closely monitored this weekend due to high winds and below freezing temperatures.

"Currently, we have reduced operations due to weather," said communications manager Taylor Prather. "Right now, we’re only operating Creekside Express. We’ll keep monitoring weather and updating our conditions page based on operational changes through the weekend."
