Dorothy 'Dolly' May Heil, 90
Dorothy “Dolly” May Heil, 90, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, at her home in Sagle, Idaho.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at the Sagle Victory Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Hess and Pastor Jerry Favor officiating. Interment will take place in Westmond Cemetery.
Dorothy May Heil (Dolly) was born into the McGough family of southern Illinois in 1933. She and her twin brother grew up there with three other siblings and graduated from high school in Marissa in 1950.
She married her high school sweetheart Jan. 10, 1953. It was on that day in 2024 when she went to meet her Lord and Savior, preceded by her husband by nearly 12 years.
Dolly was the life of any party or special event, eliciting smiles from everyone she came into contact with. She was active with the Sagle Senior Citizens and attended nearly every jam session they had there. She loved the music and could always be seen either tapping her toes to it or helping out in the kitchen.
She had a servant’s heart and would often go out of her way to help others. As one of her grandchildren put it, “She really lived an amazing life with incredible spirit and gusto. One of a kind. She will be missed.”
Family and friends are invited to sign Dolly’s online guest book at www.coffeltfuneral.com.
Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
