PREP BASKETBALL: Howard leads Clark Fork boys in loss to Genesis Prep

POST FALLS — Clark Fork senior Ethan Howard paced the Wampus Cats with 12 points in a 71-59 nonleague loss to Genesis Prep at The Courts at Real Life on Friday night.

“It was an exciting game,” head coach Heath Beason said. “We came prepared, but tonight wasn't our night. In the first half, our shots were falling, and we controlled the boards. In the second half, our shots just didn't fall. Credit to Genesis Prep, their shooting was impeccable tonight. We need to get ready for Wallace, another big game.”

Also reaching double-figures on the night for Clark Fork were Seth Caven and Cole Sanroman who each had 10 points. Cole also led the Wampus Cats in assists (5) and steals (4). Evrett Montgomery and Westin Caven each had nine points. Owen Howard scored five and pulled in a team-high nine boards. Cole and Owen also had two blocks apiece. 

Junior Spencer Farrell led the Jaguars with a game-high 29 points, 18 of which came from behind the 3-point line.

Clark Fork (5-3) hosts Wallace on Thursday.
