PREP BASKETBALL: Clark Fork girls take down Noxon on senior night
Clark Fork 44, Noxon 31
CLARK FORK — The Wampus Cats pulled away in the second quarter and never looked back, defeating the Red Devils by 13 at Clark Fork High on Wednesday night.
Head coach Jordan Adams said her four seniors really helped to get the job done.
“It was not our best game ever, but we got the win,” Adams said. “Lily (Reuter) handled the ball with finesse, ease and control. Eloise (Shelton) made a three-pointer with just a few seconds left at the end of the game. Amari (Printz-Hay) had some good looks. Farrah (Boehme) played most of the game and really picked it up on the offensive end towards the end of the second half.”
Adams said junior Hannah Thompson and sophomores Priscilla Mayorga and Piper Scarlett also played key roles in the victory.
“... Piper had a nice three-pointer. Hannah had a number of plays at the basket and took really good care of the basketball. Priscilla also hopped in and got us some momentum going at one point,” Adams said.
Thompson led Clark Fork with a team-high 14 points while seniors Reuter (11), Shelton (7), and Printz-Hay (6), combined for 24 points.
Noxon’s Maygan Swanson led the Red Devils with a game-high 19 points.
Clark Fork (5-8) travels to Noxon on Tuesday.
