Yvonne Caroline Hull, 86, passed away at home in Dover, Idaho, on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024.

Viewing for friends and family will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at Lakeview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at the Lakeview Funeral Home with Pastor Dan York from the Dover Community Church officiating. A celebration of life to follow at the Sandpoint Elks Lodge No. 1376. 

Yvonne was born on March 3, 1937, in Ellensburg, Wash., to Ed and Clara Bower. She grew up in the Camp Bay and Glengary, Idaho area. She graduated from Pullman High School in 1955. She moved back to Sandpoint and worked at the local drugstore.

Yvonne married Dan Hull on Nov. 13, 1957, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. They made their first home in San Diego while Dan was stationed there in the Navy, moving to Mare Island, Idaho Falls, Connecticut, Vallejo, and Hampton, Va., where Dan retired in 1976, they moved back to Sandpoint where they resided and continued to raise their family. She spent countless hours volunteering for the kid’s activities and the local hospital.

She is a member of the Dover Community Church and past president for the Sandpoint Elks Women’s Golf League, and volunteered at Bonner General Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, baking, playing cards, going to the casino, and playing Scrabble. She was also known as the elk camp cook and softball umpire.

She is survived by her husband, Dan Hull, of Dover; three daughters, Diane (Carl) Syth of Sandpoint, Joan Hull of Ponderay, and Danielle (Wyatt) Ruhmshottel of Sandpoint; daughter-in-law Carrie Hull of Sagle; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rachel Branca of Rhode Island.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Tevis Hull, and brother Eddie Bower.
