BGH celebrating 75th birthday with community celebration.

SANDPOINT — The hospital is turning 75 and they're inviting the community to help them celebrate.

Bonner General Health is celebrating the milestone in caring for the residents and visitors of the greater Sandpoint area on Friday, July 12, from 4-8 p.m. in the BGH Health Services Building parking lot, 423 N. Third Ave., Sandpoint.

Healthy food samplings, live music with Harold's IGA, Star the Magician, Face painting, giveaways, and loads of health information, including tips for healthy living, preventive care, and managing common health conditions, will be available!

All activities and food will be provided free of charge as a token of our gratitude to the community. We want everyone to feel welcome and included in this celebration of the hospital's 75 years of service.

Featured activities and events include:

• 4 p.m. — Harold's IGA

• 6 p.m. — Star the Magician

• Ongoing — A healthy meal and snacks courtesy of the BGH Dietary Department.

• Ongoing — Face painting, health Information, giveaways, and more.

Bonner General Health officials said they decided to host the celebration to thank the community and staff.

“We want to express our deepest gratitude to our employees and their families for their dedication to caring for our community for 75 years," John Hennessy, Bonner General Health CEO, said in a press release. "We also want to celebrate our community for the trust and support they have shown BGH and all who work here. We are truly honored to share this milestone with our staff, providers, volunteers, their families, and our community."

In its commitment to the health and well-being of the community, Hennessy said the hospital called upon staff experts to help through the celebration. The hospital's planning committee, registered dietitian, and dietary staff have curated delicious, budget-friendly food samplings focused on healthy eating. 

"Enjoy the tastings and take-home recipe cards with approximate costs, introducing family-friendly options," Hennessy said. "We look forward to seeing you there.” 

Bonner General Health is a 25-bed critical access hospital and healthcare network of outpatient clinics in Sandpoint, providing comprehensive medical services to patients in North Idaho, eastern Washington, and western Montana.
