Locals compete at Spokane’s Hoopfest

    From left, Riggs Lightbody, Abishai Bever, Grady Rowland and Bronson Blanford of the Sandpoint Swishers are all smiles with coach Nate Bever after going 4-0 to win their Hoopfest bracket this past weekend. All four players will be heading into second grade this upcoming school year at Washington Elementary.
 
 
    From left Priest River's Kane Berns, Madden Redinger, Blake Smith and Bentley Stalder of team Nothin' but Net reached the championship in their bracket at Hoopfest this past weekend. The boys lost their first matchup and then won six straight games before falling just one point short in the title match.
 
 
    From left, Rowin MacDonald, Harper Fields, Greyson Reid and Emerson Marshall of the Sandpoint Ballers reached the championship in their bracket and finished second at Hoopfest this past weekend after going a solid 5-2 overall.
