Teresa Louise Catlin, 69
Teresa Louise Catlin was born Teresa Louise Arnold on June 9, 1955, to Eleanor (Rusty) Arnold (Catlin) and Harold Arnold in Kingsburg, Calif.
Teresa graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Animal Science in 1977. She married Roger Lindsay in July 1982, and they had two sons before their divorce in 1989. She then graduated from the U of Idaho Moscow with a B.S. in Forest Resources in 1993. She worked for 10 years as the district ecologist for the Colville and Idaho Panhandle NF. Teresa then graduated from the University of Washington Seattle as a registered nurse in 2008 and then as a family nurse practitioner from WSU Spokane in 2011. Teresa worked for Kaniksu Health Services in Priest River, Idaho, for several years. In 2014, Teresa moved to Naknek, Alaska, with her niece, Samantha Riley, and her malamute, Kvichak, and spent seven years as a nurse practitioner for the Camai Clinic.
Teresa was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer in May 2023.
Teresa loved hiking, cross-country skiing, gardening, skijoring, and quilting. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She lived on 20 acres north of Priest River and walked the fields and forests every day. Her life was well-lived and well-enjoyed. She spent her last year doing what she loved and died peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on June 23, 2024.
Teresa is survived by her siblings, Shane Riley and Sharon Riley; her beloved sons, Cole Lindsay and Blake Lindsay; three wonderful grandchildren; and more extended family.
