Patricia 'Patti' Ann Speelmon, 74
Patricia Ann Speelmon, a woman whose wisdom touched countless lives, passed away May 19, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on Sep. 8, 1949, in Eureka, Mont., Patricia was a shining example of love, strength, and selflessness throughout her life.
Patricia is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Lewis Speelmon, and their daughter Wendi Treadwell. She was predeceased by her parents, Tim and Irene Tiffany; and son Melvin Speelmon. Her family was her greatest joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love through her four grandchildren, Jordon Speelmon, Zoe Speelmon, Tinese Treadwell, and Tashawn Treadwell; and her five great-grandchildren, Blake Franck, Reid Franck, Myla Jackson, Jace Jackson, and Leif Parting.
Patricia's wisdom extended far beyond her family. As a dedicated community volunteer, she touched the lives of many through her tireless service. She worked as an emergency medical technician at the hospital and with the volunteer fire department, always ready to lend a helping hand in times of need. Her commitment to her community was recognized in 2022 when she was honored with the Bonner County Woman of Wisdom Award.
Patricia's wisdom was also reflected in her many passions and talents. As a master gardener, she had a green thumb and a deep love for the beauty of nature. Her skill as a quilter created warmth and comfort for those around her, much like her presence in their lives. After a brave battle with breast cancer, Patricia emerged as a survivor, inspiring others with her strength and resilience.
Patricia retired from the state of Idaho Bonner County Extension Office, but she never retired from her life's work of spreading love, wisdom, and service to others. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched and the wisdom she shared with the world.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clark Fork High School in her name where a scholarship will be created in her honor. A celebration of her life will be held at the Clark Fork High School football field July 20 at 1 p.m., where friends and family can gather to share stories and honor her memory.
Patricia Ann Speelmon was a woman of wisdom, love, and light. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her wisdom will continue to guide us forward.
