'Best' voting deadline nears

SANDPOINT — To date, more than 31,000 votes have been cast in Best of Bonner County 2024. 

The voting period for the community survey of local businesses and people closes at 11:59 p.m. Monday, July 15. 

"We are stewards of the community's voice," Kari Packer, Hagadone News Network regional ad director, said. "If you want to show your support for your favorite local business and people in Bonner County, this is a good way to do it." 

Bonner County businesses were nominated as the “Best of” across a multitude of categories June 1-16. A total of 8,719 nominations were received across the various categories. 

Businesses with the top five nominations advanced to the voting period, where a winner and a runner-up will be announced in the Bonner County Daily Bee's publication, which comes out in late August.  

Were you impressed by top-notch customer service at one business this year? Did a cashier or bank teller go above and beyond to assist you? Do you still dream of that burger, or drink at a local restaurant? Well then give kudos to that business by way of voting for them as the “Best of” in their category. 

Several of the races are extremely competitive with just a vote or two separating the leaders, Packer said.
