'Reptile Man' coming to Priest River

PRIEST RIVER — West Bonner Libraries is welcoming zoologist Scott Petersen to Priest River next week to introduce kids to the wonders of the reptile kingdom.
“Engage with wildlife,” West Bonner Library staff said. “Embrace an alligator, grasp a python! Foster curiosity in science and the natural world.”
Also an author and educator, Petersen will introduce two dozen reptiles to kids and their families wanting to learn more about these animals. During this 40-minute presentation, Petersen will talk about each animal and talk about the important role each one plays in its ecosystem.
“No age limitations, all are welcome to attend this free presentation,” West Bonner Library staff said.
The event will be held at Priest River Park on Thursday, July 25, at 1 p.m.
Petersen has presented his reptile knowledge on shows such as Disney's Bill Nye the Science Guy and PBS' Biz Kids.
