Full Caption: Participants of the annual Sandpoint High tennis camp, which was held July 8-12 at Travers Park, are all smiles despite this summer's record heat. High school aged, experienced players from as far away as Arkansas braved five days, four and a half hours per day, of 105 degree court temperatures. SHS varisty tennis coach Kent Anderson said based on what he saw this past week, both the SHS boys and girls teams have great chances to make state championship runs in 2025. Anderson ran the camp alongside fellow coaches Cici Rickert, Kent Stadum, Khloe Kylonnen, Steve Kirby, Jeff Emmer, Maisie Brazill, Larry West and Evan Wiley. Participants and coaches of the camp wanted to thank camp sponsors, Steve Anderson Dentistry and Yoke's Fresh Market for their contributions.

Sandpoint High varsity tennis players Fisher Dail, left, and Jacob Dawson were the top two players of the SHS tennis camp's individual tournament. Dawson won the tournament and received a Dunlop CX200 Tour racket for his efforts. Dail received an 8-racket Dunlop travel bag for finishing runner-up.
