NEWPORT — The public is invited to attend a drop-in garden clinic and tour at the Washington State University Master Gardeners' demonstration garden and greenhouse Friday, July 19.

Visitors can drop in anytime between 9 a.m. and noon to visit with local Master Gardeners about gardening in the region. Brief demonstrations will be repeated on the hour, showcasing gardening techniques and plants that attendees may be able to grow in their own gardens.

Guided tours of the garden will be offered every 15 minutes.

"Most importantly, our Master Gardeners will be ready to answer all your gardening questions," Beverly Sarles said.

The demonstration garden is located just northwest of the WSU/Pend Oreille County Extension Office, 227 S. Garden Ave., in Newport.

The free event is open to the public. No registration is required.
